When the VCR I had, kept eating the VHS tapes, I decided it was time for a change and switched to DVD. On my part it was a good decision thus I started my DVD collection. I started out buying a couple of really cheap DVD's you can sometimes find for a dollar or two. These were usually of some old movie that had been changed to DVD. They worked pretty good for a dollar or two.
Next I would go see a movie and then when it came out on DVD, I would rent through Blockbuster Online. If it was really a great movie I would look around for it and purchase. Sometimes I can watch the same movie several times if it is a great movie. Movies like TROY, GLADIATOR, AVIATOR, SUM of ALL FEARS, PHANTOM of the OPERA, these are all great movies. I like being able to see how the movie was made like TROY, plus being able to see deleted scenes that didn't make it to the big screen.
Being able to watch a movie for the second time, you can usually pick up on something you missed when you saw it at the movies. Purchasing the DVD is one way to make sure you can watch it anytime you want and learn of the making of the movie. DVD's that are based on a true story usually tell some of the history on the characters and their story. So why not start collecting today.
