With the state of the economy and money not going as far as it use to, many people are staying home and renting DVDs as opposed to going to the movies. To see a movie these days, a person can pay up to $10.00 for just one ticket. Afternoon shows are now $6.00. What fun is going to the movies without popcorn laced with extra butter, a soda, hot dogs or even nachos? Even before a person sits down to see the actual movie; it is quite possible a person could have spent $50.00 or more.
Once a decision is made as to what movie to see and the showing time you intend to see the movie, a person may have to get dressed or wait on another person. What is a person to do if it is freezing outside or even raining? Just imagine what one has to battle or endure just to see a movie they may or may not like. Nowadays, we have the wonderful invention of the DVD. A person can go to their local video store and rent as many movies as they want for the amount of money it may cost to see just one movie.
Once your DVD selection has been made, you can get back into the car. Once at home, you can put on your most comfy pajamas and sit in front of a roaring fire with the food selections of your choice. There are also ways to rent DVDs online and the movie you have selected is due to arrive in the mail within a day or so. A person can often keep the movie as long as they like. To return the movie, all you have to do is mail it back in a pre-paid envelope.
The shelf life of many movies in the theater is a few weeks. If you do miss a movie you really want to see, fret not, the movie will be released on DVD within a few months.
