We all like a good movie, but none of us likes to spend a lot of money. Obviously, the theater experience is part of the price when you visit the movie theater, but the cost has risen steadily in recent years. Fortunately, you can still get the next best thing by watching DVDs in your own home.
With a DVD, you get to watch a movie in the comfort of your own home. It generally only costs a few dollars to rent a DVD. Obviously, the only drawback is that you may not be able to see the newest movie that has released. However, new films generally release on DVD within six months from the end of their theater runs.
Everyone likes snacks with their movie. The prices of popcorn, candy, and drinks can be highly overpriced at a theater, especially if you are paying for an entire family. You can really save money by buying your own snacks and sodas, and you can get free refills. Another great cost reducer is being able to watch the movie as many times as you want to before you return it. If there is a scene you missed at the movie theater, you can't rewind the movie and watch it again.
Renting DVDs is a great way to view all the movies you've been wanting to see. If you miss a film in theaters that you were dying to see, the good news is that you will be able to catch up and see it at your own leisure once it releases on video.
