There are many things sold at thrift stores or garage sales. Movies are one of them. When it comes to DVDs, all you have to do is take a risk. If you see a movie that you like, buy it.
However, remember that you can’t return anything that you buy from one of these places. You might be spending your money on something that isn’t any good. You can avoid this by checking the disc itself. After all, it's not in the package anymore. Ask questions and be selective.
There are some people that will even sell DVDs online. Just about everyone that sells DVDs are the types that really don’t want the movie anymore or those they really didn’t like it as they thought they would. Some just need the money and don't care to keep their already viewed movies. You need to be careful though, as there will be DVDs that might be scratched or damaged.
Look through the classified ads in the paper about garage sales. You can always go on the Internet to find thrift stores to buy DVDs as well. All you have to do is shop where you want to shop and take a chance. They are out there. All you have to do is keep your eyes open and look carefully. Stop at garage sales when you are out for a drive or going for a walk. There is more than likely one or two just around a corner near you.
